It can be set up by the methods below depending on your needs.
Scenario one: Different shift and employees need to rotate.
1. Create all needed shifts
2. Set up an attendance group for part time employees with a rostering working group type. And add the relevant shift into [Attendance shift].
3. Assign shift for employees in [Manage Roster]
4. Create a new hourly pay rule in [Payroll setting]
5. You can choose hourly pay or be paid by shift.
6. Create a wage group paid by the hour and apply the hourly pay rule to the wage group.
Scenario two: Non-shift employees can be on and off work freely
1. Create an attendance group for part time employees with a free working hours working group type.
2. Create a new hourly pay rule in [Payroll setting]
3. You can choose hourly pay or be paid by working hours.
4. Create a wage group paid by the hour and apply the hourly pay rule to the wage group.
